ProE shutting down while opening file

i have several assemblies that when i try to open them the program closes. I am not sure what is causing this. any ideas appreciated

If you know the files work, it would come down to either not enough ram, not enough video card, or not enough computing power. There are other possibilities, but this is where you should start checking.

well i just got a new computer. here are some of the parameters, 2.5GH intel xeon processor, 3.25GH ram. the only thing im not sure about is the video card. when we bought the computer we checked the minimum requirements for the version of proe that we have and went well above that so im sure the video card would be more than what is necessary. what other things could cause this.

That's such a nice way to put it "pro/e is shutting down". That sob is CRASHING!!

And no, it's not necessarily that you don't have enough of something, it just happens sometimes. You may have to delete the latest instance of the file that is crashing (yes, this does mean that you lose work). Someone else may have a better work around, so remove the file but don't get rid of it.

hahaha. ok thanks. im kinda walking around in the dark on this. im fine for a while even finding my way through things then all of a sudden BAM LOW BEAM. thanks for the help.
