.proi - workspace

New member
I hav fed up with accessing old .proi (workspace). Actually i checkd out some of the files in the workspace and modified it which is in my start up directory as .proi folder. Then my intralink got scratched, i moved that .proi folder to some other destination for future use. I re installed it again new .proi folder opens. I tried to copy files from older .proi that i moved to some other destination to new .proi, not worked.

After that wat i hav done is save a copy, i renamed the files in older .proi and save a copy to the new .proi folder, works well. But is there any possibility to access a old .proi as new .proi. That seems to a database management.

Help me out. Thx in advance.

In .proi folder there's a file called local.ddb

This is the local database and where are stored the paths
of workspaces (and files).

If you change the position of .proi folder, Intralink tries to retrieve the files in a not valid path (the older one)

There is no solution! PTC didn't deliver a tool to change the workspace folder...

All "Intralink people" have the same problem.

Possible solution: link the local.ddb database, make reverse engineering of data and then make a query to change the paths... Is it impossible? It could... but "never say never"...

Let me know...

Bye
