can you set up the map on a plane and project it onto the sphere surface? The map is an image or a set of curves?

tHIS IS WHAT PROE HELP SAYS....

The destination of the wrapped curve must be developable, that is, some type of ruled surface. Pro/ENGINEER automatically selects the first available destination. You can select another destination, if desired.

I selected thesurface particularly which i want. But it wont to wrap it. Is any other way to build it using other than wrap feature? I stucked with thisfrom yesterday........

Here i attached the image of Globe which i recieved from client. It will showhow it has to be. MapShould be 2mm deep from the globe.

Still i didnt get any idea. I tried with sketch csys too. But no result. If anyoneget any idea, pls share with me...

I have an idea, not sure it will work fast, this

use Decal to project the image onto a solid sphere, adjust X-Y,rotation to fit best

then trace the map curves by using Style/Curve-On-Surface as best as you can

create surfaces to those closed curves

thicken the surfaces, positive or negative.

a better idea is to find a picture of FLAT AND STRETCHED GLOBE then wrap or project on the sphere to get the true proportion...

thank u. I will try your method.

but the sketch must be on a datum plane or surface, or u can say the curve must be sketched curve.

Hi zaki,

My name is sendhil only. Thanks for your detailed reply and sorry for disturbing u by asking like this silly questions. I dont know how to use draft in offset feature and i didnt used it before. Thats y i asked u to explain. Ok Thank u,
