Anyone know how to go about recording a live webcast?

I know I could use Camtasia to record the screen but what about the audio from the Phone, microphone is an option but I dont really want to have background noise added to the allready poor sound quality.

Thanks,

James

James, I've never watched one of PTC's web casts, but most companys leave a copy of there web cast on their web site. Does PTC? What's the web cast about and when is it?

PTC run a series of Live streaming webcast using Netmeeting

http://www.ptc.com/go/webcasts/index.htmbasically you log on to a net meeting server and someone from PTC "shares" their desktop and you ringa phone number to listen in..

now as far as I know they dont record all of thembut the som of the more popular ones are available from the educational resocurce library

http://www.ptc.com/community/proewf/newtools/tutorials.htm, again streaming so you cant save them directly...

PTC should really get all of their PLM's to record proper full quality webcasts for all subject areas (similar to what Tim Harrisson, Bill taylor (both ID plm's) and John Buchowski (Simulation plm) have done) and then put these up on the educational rescource libaray..

Just a thought :)

Also anybok know why som eof the webcast have an international toll free phone number and others dont?

hope thisclears it up!
