ptc_common_name

is possible to change value of PTC_COMMON_NAME parameters if i dont have intralink instaled on my computer?


when i start a new part i just give a name and i let PTC_common_name empty


when i fill parameters in part mode value the common name is not present and i can`t change the string value


I can`t recreate the parameters because ``this name is reserved``


there is not posibilities to change string value for this parameter?


or is must fill this value from the beginning?

OK here is the catch with ptc_common_name.
In previous versions of wf2 M90 belove it was possible to change ptc_common_name or create new parameter with this name, but from M90 (including) it was not possible but there is way around that.
This is the drill:
Open this part/asm in which you want to change/create ptc_common_name, click Rename and then give it a new name and check Rename in session, then you have unlock option to write value of prc_common_name parameter, click OK. After that click again Rename and this time check Rename on disk and in session, give old name back, click OK.
This is the way I have tried and it works.

In my template parts i create this parameters ptc_common_name


Now i have acces to change string value in drawing mode
