Pump screen - toroidal bend

I am currently trying to do a bend of a currently flat screen. All I need to do is make it in to a circle, instead of being flat (in its casting state). I have tried using the methods in the other tordial bend section but cannot figure it out. I get stuck on defining my sketch, etc. I dont need to change the flat shape of the object, all i want is for it to have a cylinder shape instead of being flat! All help is much appreciated!

in toroidal, you define your sketch as a line (line, spline, curve or any other shape that fits...but to make it simple , start with a straight line) and add a coordinate system (in the sketch)then exit the sketch.... the next step is to define "start and end" surfaces..., the angle, and your done.

dr...i have already created the screen in regular solid form. Is there a way to import to sheet metal or ? Would anyone be willing to take my file and show a step by step with it then send it back to me so i can do it??

I get everything set up and go through the steps, and the once i pick the two parrell planes for the bends, pro/e says it cannot be created. Would a picture help ?

Is it a constant thickness flat part (perforated metal)? In that case simply pick applications/sheetmetal & convert to sheetmetal. Then you can add bends, unbends, etc. If you made it like a woven mesh screen then you can not convert.

Posting a pic or your part would help.

there is an icon in sketch mode for adding a "sketcher coordinate system".

And yes, a pic would help, or if possible, upload the modell!!
