Purge command in Windows XP

What kind of PURGE are you actually looking for?

If you just want to get rid of all but the latestversions,There alreadyis a purge command. From PRO justopen a system window (which opens in the current working directory) and type PURGE. It will clean out all of the early versions ofthe files in that directory. I usually do a directory list (dir) first to see how many files there are, then purge, and another (dir) to see how many files are left after the purge. Deleting files always makes me nervous and I find I have more control this way.

If you want to clean out all the 'junk files' PRO creates, its pretty easy to create the .bat file to delete the filetypes you want to, as the others have explained. I put mine in my startup directory, just dont forget to add its location to the PATH. I recommend naming it CLEANUP.bat rather than PURGE.bat so as not to confuse its actual purpose.
