question about pattern.

I did an axis rotation pattern , let say a circle on a surface to be 6 circles at 60 degrees apart. this is ok but I can't seem to delete any of them individually. they all link together. is it possible to delete individual circles I don't want?

When you have established the pattern, a number of small dots shows up to indicate that the pattern will work, and the location of the instances of the pattern. Click on the dot(s) you don't want to show in the pattern, and complete the pattern by clicking the check mark. Only you can't click on the leade. That is the black dot with a circle around it. That should work. Have a good weekend.

Hi apollo,

sip's suggestion works, but the problem with excluding the black dots of a dimensional pattern is that, for example: you create a radial pattern of 6 circle with 60 apart and you exclude one of the black dots and complete the pattern by clicking the check mark, then pick the patterned holein model tree and RMB>pick edit, you will notice that the note will show that you still have 6 holes instead of 5 because one of the hole is still in the pattern and that you on only exclude it. I suggest that instead of creating a dimensional pattern, created the pattern using table, this way you can easily edit the dimensions, add or remove a hole and the no. of hole note will always be the same as the no. of holes created.
