"It must be smaller than part file!!!"

Why would you say that an ascii text file describing the geometry, with a lot of white space, must be smaller than a part file?

Why would you post an empty zip file?

Why post a topic titled "Need Help"?

Iges is not intended to be a compression tool. It is almost a complete opposite. It takes all the data from a ProE cad file and makes it into a generic text format that other tools can recognize. It is inherently larger than the native cad file.
