Is it possibleto stop the <expletive> information windows (i.e. bom number x's qty just changed, pro/e is about to crash in 1/4 of a second so save all your info, etc)?

I wasnt aware the system ever told you it was going to crash, how did you get that window to display? I want to add that one.

Yep, and I get a list of all scheduled crashes, but the option eats up too much memory

. Sorry, couldn't help it!

I have the same setup with an additional mapkey tied to my clock. Each day I don't have to wonder what time it will happen next.

Jel,

I find that the random crashing can be quite invigorating. Spending 10 hours a day constantly on your toes, wondering when it will happen gives quite a sense of excitement. Having that brief addrenelin rush when you remember that you haven't saved for 6 hours and ProE does a slight 'pause'......bettter than jumping off a building with no parachute.....

I only got the error message when we upgraded to wildfire 4. You can actually press ok and stop the operation with the little stop sign ( you have about a minute ). If you didn't save before you started that operation.

Here's what I do to see when I'm going to crash !

Just open up perfmon.svc, delete the current graph and get your own in there. It should be...set to your computer > mesuring a process > Mesuring Virtual Bytes > Mesuring xstop.

Then just set your scale to 0.0000010 and your the max grid location at 2100 or 3000 (if you have the /3gb switch)

Now just wait for the graph to hit 2048 and voila...

I just find it nice, because I work with big assemblies with a 32bit system. I can somewhat see what I can or can't unsuppress, or render.
