Ref Dim in VSS

Reference dimensionscan not be createdin variable section sweeps. Has it always been this way? I may be not remembering right, but I could have sworn this was allowed in previous releases.

i don't have that option in WF 5.0 M020 either. i needed it to work on the other surfacing post using jeff's method,but it's not here!

I thought Jeff used a lot them to create his relations, but I couldn't remember. When I upgraded computers last year, I lost some of his models I had saved so now I need to dig them out of the forum posts. He also liked to use Known Dimensions with the "kd" suffix. Not sure if that's the same as reference.


Here's what PTC told me:


"PTC R&D has informed that ref. dim is not allowed in Variable Section Sweep feature as per current functionality, because the section is regenerated multiple times in random order and it is impossible to evaluate the value of ref.dim."
