Hi all,
I am trying to find a way to save textures in a way that will allow
them to be referenced when the model is opened on another PC.
Basically I have a coursework submission, which is to be submitted on
CD for marking. I would like to be able to have the textures I have
used (jpgs of sketches used for traceing and some decals) to open
correctly when my tutor opens my assembly.
I have read these how to's:
http://www.profilesmagazine.com/p30/baggett.html
http://www.profilesmagazine.com/p29/tips_randazzo.html
However although now I know how to change the 'texture search path'
which is really usefull and time saving, i dont think it really helps
in this instance as the path wont be the same on my tutors PC.
Is there anyway I can configure it so that I can save the jpgs in my
working folder and reference them to that just by their name (not a
full path), so that as long as that folder is copied correctly onto CD
all the texture jpgs will work?
Any solutions to this problem at all would be great.
Thanks.
