Rendering Exact multiples from Table ?

Hi Chaps,

Sorry for the very confusing title of this post, I couldnt think of a way to describe it any better hehe.

Question : I have created a baseplate of a handle ( Generic model drawing attached so you can see the idea ). The generic model has a family table ascotiated to it so I can create the whole door handle range. The various baseplates have different lengths, thicknesses, some have holes some dont, some have thru-holes some are threaded, some have more than two bosses etc etc etc you get the idea.View attachment 1764

Now... my question is, once you have generated a render of the Generic ( or one of the parts, i currently have about 30 )... is it possible to keep the exact same rendering setup for all of the items in the family table ? Basically I want to get the style and type of render I want for only one of the handles and then render identicle pictures of each style. I am creating a catalogue of parts so I want each part to be rendered identically.

Hope I have explained ok. Still learning the deeper side of pro-e and family tables are my new toy. In a couple of months I have gone from Autocad - to - pro-e wf2 - to - excell family tables arrggghhhh !!!!

Keep on plodding along !!

Well, you can setup your room and materials first, then use a mapkey for your rendering setup all the way up to hitting the button to render. That will put you in the same spot everytime if you used the same plane for your initial protrusion on every part.

Cheers CP, I have no idea about mapkeys etc cos im still the pro-e noob

but I will search forums and the net to figure it out.

Thanks for your help mate !

Mapkeys are easily to create; go to Tools, Mapkeys, select New, and then write shortcut key, press Record and do the action which you want mapkey to perform. Basically ProE record action you are doing for assigned key.
Don't forget to save them after you create them
