Repeat Region

I'm having a problem with a repeat region. I'd like to show the Intralink revision of an assembly in a repeat region on the drawing. I've created a parameter in the assembly called REVISION and a relation REVISION=PROI_REVISION. In the assembly drawing repeat region I've created a report parameter &asm.mbr.REVISION. The field will not fill. It works fine with parts but I can't get assemblies to work.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me crazy!

Thanks,

Sergio

Is it part of an assembly BOM table and this is a sub-assembly? If it is then you might try the ILINK supplied parameter. &asm.mbr.PROI_REVISION.

If you are trying to show the revision of the assembly model on the drawing, then in a regular table cell you can just add &PROI_REVISION.

According to PTC support, Intralink parameters (i.e. PROI_REVISION) cannot be used in repeat regions. They're the ones that instructed me to use the user created assembly parameter and relate it to PROI_REVISION. After it didn't work, the tech's response was "It should work".....yeah, thanks for nothing.

I believe I tried what you'vedescribed but will have to revisit it. Unfortunately I'm away from the office so can'ttry it right now.

Do I need to Designate the parameter?

You put that check mark on designate if you want Intralink to show a parameter from part/assy. But I think in order to show that parameter in intralink you need to define it in Intralink.

Thanks sgalayda, that worked.

I have a related problem. The fix above works great for drawings created by adding a format, however I'm experiencing a problem with my templates. It seems that since the template has no drawing initially attached to it, the table field &PROI_REVISION want to automatically change to &PROI_REVISION:D which populates the field with the revision of the drawing. Is there any way to keep the :D off?

I've tried &PROI_REVISION:O with no success.

hi!

Could you try to do, give a initial valor in the relationS something like:

PROI_REVISION=1

REVISION=PROI_REVISION

I hope this could resolve your problem.
