resizing/rescaling parts

2ms1

New member
I've put a lot of time into modeling a few components of what will eventually be a fairly large project. However, I have just decided that I would have been much better off working at exactly 100x the size that I currently am.

Is there any way to resize an entire assembly or at least part?

I really dont want to start over from scratch. I know when Ive imported sketch files into new sketches Ive been offered the option of rescaling the sketches before placing them, however it would be a tremendous hassle to resize each individual sketch.

in r2001 , you find it under part>modify>scale model

assembly>modify>scale model for the assemblyvalues

and then you modify the parts independently

you can use the menu mapper to find where it is in WF

Ok I got the individual parts rescaled. Now, what is it doing when u rescale the assembly then? Also, dojo, just curious what you mean by scaling not being a feature or parameter?

In UG it stays a factor known to the system, which you can still change afterwords. In Pro u just got to remember what the scale factor was. When you scale the parts individualy I think its not neccesary to scale the assy, because your parts are already 100 times bigger/smaller

If you have assembly features with dimensions you will have to scale it as well. Otherwise, no.
