Restructuring Layers

The company that I work at has recently brought back a division that was not with the company. Upon doing so we have found that all the parts have no standard layering schemes. So I am looking for a way to remove and restructure to the standard layers within ProE. I have seen a mapkey do some type of updates and heard people talk about using modelcheck to do so. I am wondering what other people might be using to do this type of maintence. I have a decent knowledge with mapkeys but the involvement needed for a mapkey has to be fairly large and have no real good knowledge with modelcheck at this time. So if any guru out there might be able to help me or give me some information to point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciative.

I always do it with mapkey.

Using mapkey allowed me to create 8 rule layers by just a key. pretty fast and straight forward..

Is there any chance you could send me the text file. I would just add it to my config. I would be interested to see how the layers are setup with rules. We have done some work with rules and it hasn't worked the best.
