I want to change a revision level from D toC.

I want to delete revD and replace it with D!

Is this possible??

Do you save a separate file each time you introduce a Rev. For instance does Rev D of your drawing use a Rev D part or do you have the same part file for Rev C and D.

From what you've said I'm not sure which is the case. Pro/E saves dot extensions .prt.1 .2 .3 etc and drawings do the same. So if you can locate the older .prt files and .drw files you may be able to use those.

There is also an option called
rename_drawings_with_object none/part/assem/both
Controls whether the system copies associated drawings automatically with parts and assemblies.

This is useful if you use the separate files for each revision process.

Thank you for your responce.

You gave me some new ideas! My problem was that some how we had a revision "E" that was the same as revision "D"! On top of that there was a revision "F" in the system also. We had to remove "D" and shift E& F down to be D & E.

We exported E & F one at a time (so we would not be filing over one another) onto the hard drive. Then we deleted E & F from commonspace and the workspace. Then we imported them one at a time into a clean workspace. assigned a folder and the correct revision and release and checked into commonspace. this worked well without doing any drawing work!
