rollback the insertion locator fast

Zestje

Hello,

When I want to rollback to a specific feature in the model tree I find it quite annoying to have to drag the insertion locator all the way up the model tree when I have about 1000 steps in the tree.
I've found out that using the scroll wheel on the mouse is much faster, but it still takes ages to scroll up all these screens.

Isn't there a faster wat to rollback to a specific step in the model tree?

Thank you,

Wouter

the "faster" way I came up with was to create a mapkey to enter insert mode and then I just pick the feature in the tree that I want to insert after. It's kind of a pain since you can right click on the insert here pointer in the feature tree to cancel insert mode but you can't right click on a feature in the tree and activate insert mode................

you dont have to drag the insert cursor!

select the feature you want to insert after with the left mouse button the right mouse button and insert is last in the list!

I agree 100% that this should be possible with the right mouse button.

This is exactly how it should be. But I tried that already and 'insert' doesn't show up in the rmb menu. I'm using WF2. I think you are using WF3 maybe?

Anyway I can make a mapkey to go to insert mode, but that only works once. E.g. when I go insert mode at feature 500 and want to go to feature 10 from there the insert mode doesn't do that. It can only be cancelled (so the parts gets regenerated entirely) and restarted to set to feature 10. Or I must drag the arrow again...

I'll try with a mapkey for now. Thank you both!
