it seems the rotating feature in my pro-e is not working. i have used it earlier (with my MMB). the MMB is working fine but the model(s) do not rotate and nor can i exit out of lets say when i make a circle or a line or any sketch feature (by clicking the MMB).

any suggestions?

Forget MMB just click on another icon or make a mapkey for select. now that you mention it PTC is get it worse at not letting you end a command Done Return was a thing of the past but they are bringing it back. It may be a miidle button being set to auto zoom or some other bs by MS

Tarun,

Tools > Mapkeys
[New]
Key Sequence = Enter text sequence to launch mapkey
sa shortcut string Select Activate

Name = Label shown in mapkey dialog I use > or : or some other string to make it easier to see.

Description = Help text shown when hovering over mapkey icon

Hit [Record] Pick the select icon or perform a menu select sequence. Hit stop when done and [Save Changed] pick your config.pro file and hit OK.

The following text will be added to your config file.
; indicates start and end of mapkey.
;\ indicates mapkey continues on next line
~ Command `ProCmdDatumSketCurve`; actual command

mapkey sa @MAPKEY_LABEL:>Select Activate @MAPKEY_NAME Cancels current command & activates sketch Select icon;~ Command `ProCmdEditOneByOne` 1;

See the image below. Try recording your own mapkey or make the following into a text file with .pro as extension. Go to Tools Options Open config and select the mapkey.pro file. hit Apply then reselect your main config.pro and hit okay.

Happy Mapkeying.

Check your mouse settings in Windows control panel. and ensure Auto Zoom mode is not the choice for middle button. If you hit MMB on a webpage or document and you see direction arrows that's the likely cause. I actually ran into this yesterday.
