Rotational cut with parallel sides

Sully

Do the rotational cut. Under options select the second direction for degrees of angle. Make the cut. Then draft the sides back using the vertical plane for pull direction and set the draft angle to zero. Do this on both sides.

hi Sully,

You can make the surface rotation and another the straight one (bothshould be surface with capped ends) Now merge them and go for the solidify command

you will get the desired shape

Hope it will solve the purpose

Hello,

Y do u wanna do it in Rotational cut?? I see it as a variable sec sweep option - wherein u have pivot direction.
In ur case draw an arc for trajectory as in pic 2 of length .160
draw a section in any one end
select top as pivot plane

cheers

Ringo is right, VSS is the way to go. Sketch trajectory, then use VSS with CONSTANT NORMAL DIRECTION, and specify plane you would like to keep sketch parallel to. This method is very easy to modify
