Round Pattern

Does anybody knows how can I create a round pattern?...I know that I have to group a datumwith a feature....in order to get the rotation angle when I create the pattern. However, I am doing something wrong.

Do u mean pattern of round feature or circular pattern of a feature?

When you say "group a datum", I assume you mean make a datum "on the fly". If not, that is likely your problem.

With Wildfire 2.0 you can now do an "axis" pattern for circular patterns. All you need is an axis to pattern about.See "To Create an Axis Pattern" in Pro/E's help.


Otherwise, if you are using an older version you will have to create it using a "make datum" to specify the feature's angle. Instead ofmaking the datum before you create the feature and selecting it, do it while you are creating the feature by choosing "make datum" for your setup planes.

Follow two tips as:


1. Creaating first feature you want to have round pattern, creat it on Plane on Fly or have a reference of Plane on Fly.


2. Must have a circular reference.
