I apologize for this topic being a repeat, but I am looking for someone who has a CMM capable of generating a point cloud of this complex surface part. If you have such a machine, I would absolutely love to rent the time to have this project done.

How large is the part?

The part volume is approximately 18"x8"x4" It is the control wheel for a Boeing 727.

Sorry, I only scan parts as large as the Boeing, actually bridges, buildings etc...perhaps you can enlarge it somewhat?

the problem is to convert the scanned surface into a surface wich can be used in pro engineer and merged to other surfaces. with an .stl surface this is not possible. Does somebody know how to di this?
