search for hidden models

is there anyway either using the search tool or something else to determine if there are any solid models that are hidden with in a group? dealing with very large assemblies that may have ten to twenty groups. we ordered double of some components because they were hidden in the model.





any trick for this?

when you hide a component is automattically go onto a layer called Hidden Item. You could look there, or use views/visibilityunhide all

in your search tool, select 'solid model' in look for, then hit 'status' and click on 'display' button, under category select 'visibility" and for value select 'blanked/hidden' and your ready for the find now.


that works for me anyway,

You can also select filter tree under the options drop down to show only the group(s) that contain the hidden part(s) you select in the returned search results.
