SEARCH PATH

I have a drawing and the part I believed to be associated with that drawing on my C: drive. The part is wrong so ProE search another drive (P:) to find it. How does it know to jump drives and search for the part? I expect it to tell me it can't find the part. TheP: is not one of my search paths. Is there an option I can change to stop ProE from jumping drives?

Pro will search first in your working directory then in the directories on your search path. It will not jump around on it's own. Go to Tools/Options select current session tab and look at the search paths that are loaded. If Pro is pulling from P: it is either your working directory or is part of your loaded search paths. The only other way it could be pulling from there is if you have P: configured as you library search path.
