Selecting a Table

It seems like such a simple thing...

I have found two ways to select a table, but both seem to take more effort than I would expect. So I am here to ask the experts... or you guys... if there is a simpler way I am missing.

I can either:

Pick a cell in the table, then go up to the Table menu and pick Select > Table. That's four picks, selecting a cell in the table, then three menu picks.

or

pick a cell in the table, right click, select Pick From List, then select ID 12TABLE, then select OK. This is five picks.

Then, of course I have to continue making picks to do what I want to do with the Table.

Is there an easier way?

Thanks

Hmmm...when I select a cell, and then hover over a corner, it gives me the four way arrow cursor (to move it). My intention wasn't to move the table, but it does allow me to move the whole thing, so that's good.

But your response did help clear something up for me. I was confused because selecting one cell doesn't highlight all the cells in a table, and only the two methods I described above worked to do that. In trying what you said, I realized that the "grips" were on the four corners, and four edges after selecting a cell, which made me realize that selecting a cell does select the whole table for certain functions. I was trying to save a Table to disc, and that works.

Thanks for the response!
