Simplified Rep Rules

Goal: To open a top level assembly without bolts or purchesed components (which are family table driven parts)in session but still shown (graphics rep).


I have tried to add rules that appear correct, but when I try to open the assmebly with "open rep", it seems to bring the bolts and such into session.


Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Are you trying to the bolts & purchashed parts or you want to see them but in graphics rep? If you are trying to end up with a smaller rep this may not be what you are looking for. A rep by rule will open up each & every part to check if the rules apply. I do not know how much of each part proe opens (not the master rep) but I do know from past experience that it will not dump from memory the parts you are trying to exclude.
