Simulation and Analysis for robot

I wanted to know others opinion and suggestions about use of MDX, MDO and pro Mechanica motion for robotics simulation, analysis...

I need this information because I an planing to do my final year project related to robotics ... roughly it involves forward and inverse kinematics for 6 DOF manipulator ;deriving its dynamics
equations, programing for given trajectories; and simulating it
graphically. Right now we are thinking about any specialized application of 6 dof manipulator.

Well I have learned and used MDX for kinematics in previous simple projects ... and feel very comfortable using it.
We need to decide what softwares/ tools we will use for programming and simulation. I have done some search about use of Pro E for this purpose ... It seems that MDO ( Mechanism Dynamics Option ) and Pro Mechanica Motion give very accurate results. and these tools give real results with considering frictions and gravity etc. Havent used these modules though.

so what would you suggest ... what tools should we use for this purpose .

I think using Pro E alone will not be enough ... like using Matlab or other tools with Pro E . Would also like to know what other simulation softwares are out there related to Robotics. And can these tolls be used with Pro E.

hi Mahtab. My diploma project is same as your. I need to make a design of the manipulating robot with using of progressive methods of the CAD/CAE systems. My robot will have 6DOF.... I will use Pro/E (MDX, BMX, AAX, Drawing module too) and Pro/MECHANICA for simulation...Aftera that all I will create an animation in DAO module...The point of my project will be to do all needed calculations in software (no hand calculations all). Actually I didnt start yet but in couple next days I will. Here will be new topic about my project (you can start your topic) and we can compare the results and we can consult about that either...Bye for now :)
