Sketcher line segments connected!

I have more trouble trying to get Pro/E (in sketcher mode) to understand that the ends of various curved line segments, such as line segments making up an undulating sketch curve to be used to create a cut, are actually connected. I try various tricks such a using construction lines, trim, tangency, colinearityor other constraints to tell sketcher with varying degrees of success, and although I eventually succeed at closing the sketch, it takes forever and is very frustrating. Is there an easier way that I'm everlooking? Why is it so hard for Pro/E to accept that the end of two curves are actually colinear, and that no dimension to the end point is required?

could you post a picute maybe? - I understand the concept of what you are saying, but it would be easier if I had a picture to look at
