Sketcher Tracing

Is there a way to trace a picture (bmp, jpeg..etc) while in sketcher? (or at least have it in the background)

Thanks

Do you have the Style tool (ISDX) ? Thats the only way I know of importing such images etc into a sketcher environment.

I would think all you have to do is create a flat surface on a datum, make the surface the size of your sketch so it is close to 1:1.

Now map a picture of what you what to trace on that surface and stretch it till it fills the surface up to 1:1

Thanks for all the responses. :)

I do have Style Tool (ISDX), but I've never used it before.

Is there list of procedures/instructions out there (internet) I can follow?

This is all new territory for me.

Use your help menu in Pro/E. Go into surface for topic, isdx for subtopic. Search for trace sketch. The Pro/E help menus are pretty good and isdx has tutorials within the help menu.

The best way to do what you want to do is using the trace sketch ability in ISDX.
