Sketching in Assembly mode

JCAD

hi there, i am using pro e 2001 student edition. Is there any way that you can sketch on the face of an object when in an assembly, and have that sketch appear on the original part when you open it up in part mode? It would make my life mucheasier, I am trying to create bosses for components, and have to keep saving the sketch in assembly, then having to create references, all of which takes a lot of time. Thank you in advance, if you can help.`

JCAD,

yes, you can make a sketch in assembly mode to add feature to a particular part in Pro/E 2001, just pick "modify>mod Part" then pickthe componentwhere you want to putthe feature. Then you can create any feature and any feature will be added to the part. By the way You cannot activate a component using the model tree as what puppet saidbecause it's for WF2.0 and not for Pro/E2001. If you want to add feature to a part using the model tree just rmb then pick insert feature.
