Slow performance for the embedded browser

Hi

Have enyone some hints: (if even possible) how tospeed tothe browsing in PDMLink 7.0 "a little bit". When browsing between Products a Library and Home it can take up to ages before the page hopefully are displayed.
We use Internet Explorer and have used the option to check for new versions on every visit to the page which seams to improve "little".

Regards

Patrik

You may want to try browsing PDMLink with a different browser such as Firefox as a test...

IE waits until all html tabel data is loaded before displaying any of it. Firefox, on the other hand, progressively renders html tables as the data streams from the server. The very last row of the table still arrives at both browsers around the same time, but you'll see much of that data much sooner with Firefox.

... I have no idea if Firefox is officially supported for PDMLink or not, but it's an interesting experiment to try.

We haveWindchill 8.0. There is a vast difference in speed betweenFirefox & Explorer. Unfortunately, the internal browser is IE based, and can't be set to a different browser (according to PTC), so the workaround we will be using is to use Firefox to send parts to the workspace & the internal browser to select them.

Independent of how much each product contains, that can be partly solved by not using all content as table but rather folder and content.

But the issue is that it takes really long time even to open the Library or Product list.

I was aware that Firefox was faster than IE but according to buisness rules, IE is the official supportedsoftware andI had hopethat it where something out there that might improve the prestanda.
