space 1999

I remember watching that show. Looking at it now makes me think they were quite forward. notice the modular design. Thats what the boys are doing now in Pro/E for the station. Just many years later.

Nice... hard to believe getting back to the moon is still science fiction. Oh well, let me know if that baby can make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs & I might make a bid.

From theNASA engineers that have beento design-enginefor training i understand that GAMA radiation bursts from the sun and outside the solar systemarethe big problem fortrips to the moon and beyond because of thedangers for humans. A solar flare alone can be as much as 60 Xrays similar to what you get with a broken arm. Same reason we do not fly over the north pole. There are other risks to wintering over at the south pole. The atmosphere is to thin at the earths poles to be safe for GAMA radiations. Radiations in space between earth and moon are dangerous much less a trip farther.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

One astronaut interviewed on TV said the only place he could get a good six hours sleep on the orbiting station was next to 4 feet of Led batteries. I think he was trying to say that the radiation was so loud and that he could not sleep from the ringing
