Start Files

Is anyone willing to share their comprehensive start files, including startpart, startassy, and start drawings complete with user-defined parameters (e.g. &partno, etc.), formats, layers, etc.? This is for 2001 AND WF 2.0 in the electronics industry.
TIA for your help!

The problem with sharing these files is that they are unique to our setup. Parameter names in the startparts are used to drive the information in the titleblocks in the format files.

In our case. we paid for the development of the format files from a service bureau because we didn't have time to do them ourselves in the time we needed them. My boss would not apreciate me giving them away.

Tunalover,

I agree with looslib. Our company paid us to create these files. These are generally confidential as well.

If you are unfamilliar with how to build start files and formats, building themis the best training out there. Building formats will also help you learn how to generate tables for drawings.

If you desparate to get started, ProE has standard start files and formats built in.

FYI, for instance when creating a new part:

Click new part and uncheck "Use Default Template"

Then select the start file according to the type of part you are building.

Once you get that far, it's a matter of executing a "Save-As", placing them in your standards folder and setting up a config.propath to that folder.

FYI, My company provides services as such. If you are interested, send me an email.
