Start Part - how can I assign a material

How can I modify my Start Part file so that a Material needs to be assigned from the Material File Library. This would ensure that we can do a model analysis and get the weight of the assembly. Ensuring us that we would not need to find parts and assign a material file after the fact. Thanks in advance!

Maybe macro can help you.
For example macro may include commands:
1.) new
2.) part
3.) stop macro for set Name and Template
4.) Set Up
5.) Material
6.) Assign
7.) From File

If you work with some type of materials is possible to create some templete parts where meterial already assigned
Is usseful for mecanichal analysts,or if you work with some machinning rules..........
You can input some parameters in the manner you will be ask abbout asigned materials in drawings
All depend abbout .......what you expect to do exactly

You can create several templates, or "start parts", one for every type of material that you want. When creating a new part, "un-check" the Use Default Template box and pick OK.In the "New File Options" dialog, select Browse, and pick the template that you want to use.
