Is there a way to show all dim's in a particular view, but show them one by one? I have an intricate part that I am dimensioning and when i try to "show all" the view gets covered by dimensions and i have to search through the mess to find what i need. There are many drafts on the part so i can't just select the feature i need the dimension to relate to.

I don't know if this will help, but after the mess of dimensions are there, you can right-click on the view, and select Cleanup Dimensions.

or while you are in sketcher for each individual feature pull your dimensions away from the outer profile of the part

If you have your modeltree showing all the features of the part, you can RMB on a feature and then choose "show dimensions by view". This way you get one feature only and in one view only, which greatly reduces the clutter.

Providing of course you build small features and don't force all details into one profile ....

I have a similar problem.. I have alway's used the rmb "show dims in view". I find it alot easier than using the "show all".

Less time spent cleaning up dimensions..

Show dimensions depends on a lot of things, it isn't smart in a way that it will show dimension you wish by pressing Show All.
Here are few things how to improve your use of Show dimensions;
While building model, try in sketch create as many as possible dimension that you will use in drawing.
In drawing, use Show By Feature and View in complex models. This way you control which dimension to show, and you don't have mess of dimensions.
After showing dimensions use Cleanup Dimension to arrange dimension around view.

AHA-D, Using the model tree was the way i was looking for. Thanks!!! I knew i had done something like that in the past but for the life of me i couldn't remember what it was.

Thanks again!
