"Suppressing a feature temporarily removes it from the model, both physically and visibly.
For display simplification only, you can use the Hide command on selected features from the Model Tree.
However, you might want to temporarily suppress a feature, for example, in order to try another one in its place. Or, the feature could be causing problems that
you must adjust for elsewhere."
1) first - you can not hide all features, specially solids ones - you can not hide rounds, drafts or chamfer when they are made on solid geom, same with other feats
2)hidding features does not have an impact on other feats, suppressing does have this impact - all children will be suppresed also. When you hide parent, children are not hidded(well this is not all true, you can not hide surface which is then used in merge)
3)hidding components, feats does not have an impact on mass, supressing has
