Surface creation

Hi all,

I have a model that is to be completed. When i tried to create the surface, I got void spaces at the two sides. Whatever I tried, those voids are not being filled up.

I have attached the .prt file. What I tried to do is this- created an arc with a center and end points that are the two points on the edges of the outer ellipse on each side. Then tried to join all those edges to form a surface.......... this technique didn't work either. I somehow need to close up those voids.

Any suggestions??

Thanks and best regards,

VR.

oops, it is an education version file.... I don't know what model you want to be completed! Please post at least an image of it.

Cheers

Hi,

My ultimate goal is to make an assembly with two separate models that I have. I'm attaching the two files here and also a picture (in MS Word) of the final model. I have to do the assembly in such a way that the model in the file called leaflet.prt has to be wrapped around the framein the model.prt file. For this I have to somehow close the leaflet completely (it perhaps might look as a cylinder). But whatever I did, the void spaces at the sides could not be closed.

Also the leaflet should have a uniform thickness of 0.1mm.

Here are the files.....

leaflet.prt--------- This contains the leaflet model

model.prt---------This contains the frame model

The other picture isthat of the complete unit.2006-05-12_092704_Model.zip
