Surface problem

alwaysdrunk

New member
Hi,

I saw an flat iron model somewhere here in this forum posted by some of the " hardcore pro/e users" and i'm really amazed with their skills (two thumbs up on you guys"). I wanted to be like them so I grabbed the photo and model it myself in standard pro/e application, but it seems those guys are really experienced to model this flat iron, I stumble with this problem 9 see pic below).

Does anybody have an idea what is wrong with what I did? Thanks a lot

Thanks muadib3d!

I was refering to you when I say "hardcore pro/e users"

I used Alias' Maya and Autodesk's 3DMax before in my previous company,I agree, same methodology, I'm comfortable with 3D max though.

By the way, Is that freeform surfacing you are using? coz i'm just using standard pro/e module. are they the same? I bet ISDX has a lot more options intended for surfacing (I don't have ISDX module running here).

thanks again

"hardcore user" - that sounds pretty nice to me, hover I would call like that ten other persons from this forum but not me:))))) - I`ve got this attitude I never feel skilled enough to name myself "guru"

anyway thanks

According to Your question - nope, this is not free form or ISDX(I do not have a license). This geometry was done using ordinary surfacing tools like - boundary blend and curve through points, nothing more as far as I remeber it right

hmmmmnnnn you sound cool...anyway, I'll do this iron again 'till I can perfect the techies.

thanks for the site, it is a big help.i'll just post whenever headaches come in my way.
