Surface problems in #D and drawing

Hi all


Iam trying to model a pipe as an extrusion. The pipe has an insulation (refractory) layer inside. Iam trying to model the refractory as a surface so that it shows up as a seperate entity in drawing, but on the 3D model it just shows as a thin layer. How do i make it show up as a whole solid in 3 D

Create the refractory layer as a seperate component, then assemble them together.
