Surface protrusion

Hi...<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I have a part with a lot of holes cuts etc... I want to add a 2 mm thick layer of material all around the surface of the part! Is there any feature in PRO E where you can do this without having to sketch it and thereby relate the protrusion with the surface?

To bee more exact: I'm looking for a feature whichcan automatically select the contour of the surface and add a protrusion on this surface!

Hope you understand the question!

well, you do have - Edit > offset> Expand

but first select the surface you are interested in. It must be highlighted with pink coluor

and then as written above

I thank you very much for the answer which solved the problem.. I have problems getting the surface to light up in the pink color but I'll look into it!! THX!!!

I mean, it works - I think - only for solids, so to set it up right in solids, you first pick a feature the surface belong to, and then - when the feature is selected - you choose right surf, so it is then highlighted in pink color

but, with surfaces it does not work, you have to have a sketch of area you want to expand. I am not sure about that, since I rarely use this
