Surface split

Hello All,

is it possible to split a surface in 2 parts with pro-engineer?

I would like to have two solids connected (welded) along half of the split surfaces.

Thanks Miko for your reply to the previous question,which i did not see, sorry

what i would like to be able to do is to split the contact surfaces (in two parts) between two solids, and assign a contact property (glue) on one side and the other side the two surface should be able to slide on each other (mesh nodes not coincident).

I understand that probably this question should be on the analysis forum, but i believe that it is first a modeling issue, once the required surfaces are created it is straight forward to assing the different contact properties.

I do know if I understand what you want right but here is a way to make a split for surface in Pro\E

well, it is rather a workaround because Pro\e lacks of such funcionality(mail me people if I am wrong)

so take a look on attached pics - I use extrude feat. - surf - cut
