SWEPT BLEND?

I have a cut that I want to create that follows a straight edge on one end and follows a curve on the other. It's sort of a rotational chamfer, but if I just rotate it I get a thick edge in the center. How do I create a cut that follows a straight edge but also "leans" to follow another?

you could do this with Variable section sweep to....andit can also be done whitsweptblend

I got the first two "sides" to work, but the "ends" say that "unable to intersect with part" Any ideas?

hi Jason,

I am using this quilt to remove material from existing rectangular solid geometry. please refer to the model tree in my first post on this discussion.

I created a curve for all four sides like in your example and the two longer
sides work, but the two short ends fail.

I followed your example but I'm missing the remove material part I guess. Where does it allow me to remove material in the boundary blend tool?

i think you guys are not creating four individual surfs and merging them

you can creat this as a single quilt.

4 entities in curve 1 of first direction and 4 entities in curve2 of first direction. the model tree still remains the same, no increase in number of features.

super........... ha ha ha haaaaaaa

this idea (creating a sufrace) came to my mind thinking he needs to remove materialalong only one side edge, it continued to four faces on the same lines...... it was like going one step backward and one step forward

i just dint want to touch existing featurs. the cutmay be refering to the top face of the existing protrusion.
