No. Templates for parts, assemblies & drawings are only used during object creation. You could always make a new drawing with the correct template & then copy over whatever you want from the old drawing.
Not shure I'm talking about the same, but if I open drawing options and load a different .dtl file. I get a complete different layout of my drawing in terms of title field, border and colors on everything
