Syscol.scl and black datums

Hello all,

I have read all the posts I could find about this problem before I posted and I can't figure out what's wrong. I am using Wildfire 3.0 personal edition. I changed my view display->system colors scheme to "use pre wildfire scheme." I save the syscol.scl file in the same directory as my config.pro. I have tried putting them both in the pro/ engineer startup directory, as well as, the pro/ engineer text directory. Now, I know that pro engineer is loading the pre wildfire scheme, because the background color changes to blue automatically the next time I open Pro/E, I look at the scheme, and "use pre wildfire scheme" is checked and that's good.

The problem is, the datums are all black. If I check, then uncheck, the "use pre wildfire scheme"tab, the datums change to the correct yellow/redcolors. Something must be overriding theprewildfire datumcolor setting, but I haveno idea what it is.

Any ideas?

hi, the same thing is happening with me,

all my datums are coming in black and when i click use pro e deffauly sheme then it comes ok,

some people say its problem with graphics card....

what do you say...

it started coming when i modified my config.pro

Maybe it's your overall system setup. In other words, I would try having "None" for your desktop, turn off all the Windows effects (i.e. Fade effect...). Also make sure that your Color Quality is set the highest (32-bit).

Make sure Proe is NOT running when you do this. Just some things to look at.

set the config option "system_colors_file" by browsing the syscol.scl you saved and update/save config.pro file as usual. I had same problem but solved it in this way year back.
