I have some bitmaps & jpegs that I would like to use as textures on some of my part files. How do I convert them so that I can apply them in W3? Also, after they are converted, what folder should they be located in?
First move jpeg n BMP's to Program files/proe WF 2.0/Graphic-library/textures.(path indicatesProe WF installed location).
open the part - go to colour and appearance - select one of the colur in the appearance editor and pull down the properties menu - select map menu - check mark the color texture option - press the image square box besides of that checkmark - immdly appearance placement dialogue box opens - Press the '+' symbol that will add the texture to your palette - immdly texture folder opens inwhichyou can select moved jpeg n bmp's - use it for models.
Otherwise set the path in config - pro_texture_library to the desired folder.
The last one is the one you told me about. I put my jpeg files in the texture folder & set the config path as you suggested. The files worked great as long as the current session was loaded. After re-starting pro/e, the color/appearance choices reverted back to a single material option and I lost all of the custom ones. I have a feeling part of the problem is that there isn't a file in my "start in" folder or a config option that would refer to one being there. I haven't had a chance to test this. Any suggestions?
