The procedure for assembly drawing

turbo2007

New member
I want to know if i want to drawing a assembly drawing, is it should begin after i finish all the part drawing, or , i can start without any part drawing and drawing the partwhthin assembly environment, I guess both of them can be work, i have little experience in assembly model.

but which one is the most used procedure? which one is better?

I want to know ur opinion in the design process,

thanks in advance!

turbo2007,

you described two methods that actually have a name:
top down design- make the assembly and build the parts in the assembly referencing centralized information
bottom up design- make the parts and build up the assembly like building blocks

search for these two terms here, and elsewhere and you will find lots of commentary

in the end you will most likely find that a blend of both approaches works best...

cheers,

M

thanks for ur promptly and clear reply~
