View attachment 2414hello friends
i am using wildfire 2 while working i come across a problem
please refer the pic i wann to creat a M10 holeat 30 mm from right plane and on diameter 60 and center is axis A_1
as shown in pic i choose primary ref as the top face and secondary reference is axis A_1 and right plane
by default pro-e gives angular dimension with respect to right plane but i wann linear dimension

can any one help me

Because that is not a typical way to dimension a hole you will have to use a work around.

1. Create a sketched circle on A_1 with a diameter of 60mm
2. Create a datum point on the sketched circle and use an offset reference of the top face of 30mm
3. Create a datum axis through that point and normal to your surface
4. Create a coaxial hole through the axis and with the surface as a secondary reference

Hi, Skylab,

See you can not select axis in linear dimension,I will tell you the reason.

See axis is all most like one cylinder part. For that dont have any planer surface so that it is asking angular dimension, Gemetrically that is rite,You can not select axis you have plane there you can select plane or else you can create point first from 30mm distance or else you can create axis from 30mm distance,You are using very wrong method I hope you understood the problem

Gemetrically ProE is correct,You haveto choose another option.

Just use my method I proposed, it will get you what you want. It may not be the best thing geometrically but it will work.

thank you guys for ur reply

i am using a drawing of reputed company to create the model and i have to make detail drawing of same

in referencedrawing the dimensions are shownthe way i am expecting

i.e. 30 mm from right pl and on circle of diameter 60

while detailing i am not able to show dimensions as shown in drawing by show /erase

if u have any suggestion plz reply

skylab

if you use csusi's way of the work around, that should work and you should be able to show the dimentions by "show/erase" in the drawing
