Hi guys,

I'm new here, and I also new with WF 2.0

Can someone tell me how to make a sweep with more than 1 sdifferenr sections.

I have tryed severl times but without sucess.

Thank you

Amanda

Hi Taz,

I have tryed almost all method, but maybe I did the wrong commands.

Can you explain how to make a sweep with two different sections.

From square to rond

Thank You

Sometimes, I find it easier to do a "swept blend". This allows you to create a cross section at any vertex on the trajectory path. Everything is within this feature, so you don't have to create any preliminary datum curves first. The only thing different is that this creates a "smooth" blend only, it will not create a "sharp" blend.

Each section of the blend must have equal amount of vertexes. Try to align the start points and direction from the related vertexes. If you don't, the blend will be "twisted".

Do someone know a site where they explain how to handle to make a swept blend

with two differnet sections.

From an bigger elipse to a smaller elipse ?

Thx

Hi James

May I post it with detail pics tommorow. Actually Im extremely busy now a days.

James,

Swept blend is the simple one..

1. Just create a origin trajectory (Insert>swept blend>protrusion>done>sketch traj) for the height of the part.

2. Then sketch the 2 sections, first section will be from start point ie first point of the origin trajectory. It will ask for angle of rotation give 0.

Blend will the best option.

Insert>Blend>Protrusion... accept the defaults (Parallel, regular sec, sketch sec.) >Done. straight>done and select the sketch plane and create add sketch the first section. Add one sketch coordinate system. And right click on the screen and select "toggle section" now sketch the second section with respect to the first sketch orientation. And enter height of the part.

If both the sections are symmetric in geometry: Create a protrusion and add draft in the required direction.

Thanks

PTC has a well done tutorial to trasition from 2001 to WF. Go to their website and search around, it's there.

Thanks guys,

But now a swept with two (or more) different sections.

How do you make it.

Regards & thanks

Wow thank you so much for your information.

It will help me so good.

Thank you
