threaded hole

New member
I have threaded holes in my parts (the outside member is a thru hole, the inside part is threaded) and it's showing up somewhat funky on my drawing. I don't want to see any of it in my assembly drawing--will detail holes in part drawings. How do I get rid of this?!

Thanks

Put the threads on a layer, and blank the layer on the assembly drawing. Sometimes it is a lot easier to do this if you create the hole and cosmetic thread as seperate features. I hardly ever use the hole+thread feature.

The main problem is the depth of the thread.

In wildfire 2, on the dashboard there is the menu of shape. In there is the option to set the thread to thru thread. this should solve the problem.

The problem I have is if I set thehole to be a through hole the"through thread" option is greyed out, so I can't specify a through thread!!!

Any ideas?
