Trace sketch is an option in Style (also called ISDX or "freeform surfaces"). It uses a special license, and the function is started using #Insert #Style

In Stylemode, goto #Styling #Trace sketch. In the "Trace Sketch" dialog, select one of the planes and the "file open"-dialogbox opens. Browse to find your image. Once the image is in the model, expand the "Properties" part of the "Trace Sketch" box to move and scale the image.

When "tracing", it's only a free hand creation of lines, it does not "trace" curves from the image.
